Applications

Different systems. Measurable engineering decisions.

From flight-control development and avionics validation to production quality control and research, test infrastructure should be designed around the system under evaluation. INFINITE-HIL brings real hardware together with controlled motion, measurement and simulation to provide configurable engineering solutions across applications.

Vehicle or product geometry, target physical behaviour, instrumentation, software interfaces and budget are assessed together. Alongside X1’s three-axis architecture, custom test machines and aerospace test and simulation platforms can be designed for project-specific needs in other industries.

INFINITE-HIL · Fixed-wing autopilot HIL testing

Fixed-wing UAVs

Evaluate fixed-wing avionics, autopilot and attitude control in the laboratory. Flight controllers, orientation estimation and suitable control interfaces can be examined alongside physical attitude motion. Fixture and motion envelope are designed around wing geometry, centre of mass and test objectives; this scope is distinct from aerodynamic performance testing.

INFINITE-HIL · CubeSat ADCS research setup

Small-satellite ADCS research

An adaptable approach to satellite attitude-determination and control research. Three-axis motion and angular measurement can be adapted to ADCS laboratory work, such as CubeSat attitude control testing and hardware-in-the-loop experiments, through suitable mechanical and sensor configurations. Experiments involving reaction wheels, magnetic environments or mission conditions require dedicated definition; space qualification is not assumed for a standard X1.
